As an Account Manager for a large regional media company, for many years my role was to drive new leads, but I was often frustrated when clients didn’t have the right infrastructure in place to convert these.
I felt I could help provide a far greater ROI if I could guide them on the next stages and ensure leads became sales.
Marketing companies and ad agencies can drive leads from beautiful websites and ad campaigns, providing data and pretty charts to show where they came from, but this is where their responsibility often ends.
The danger lies in the client lacking the insight to know how to ensure every lead stands the best chance of becoming their next customer and not just a statistic in a web report.
Without a well planned marketing strategy, or full understanding of your customers’ needs, leads are often the result of luck rather than judgement – with little hope of being converted.
I could see that by working closer with clients I could help manage leads and conversion. By reviewing processes, areas for improvement could be identified and new strategies put in place.

Working with my trusted partners I manage and co-ordinate projects, bringing everything together on time and on budget. I oversee the implementation of business and marketing strategies to ensure they are delivered to the highest level, all with the aim of growing my clients’ businesses.
With my sales background I am able to quickly identify opportunities for business development and drive them forward, often representing my clients and working with third parties on their behalf.
I’m a do-er! I love to see results which had previously felt impossible to clients. If a client tells me “I have always wanted to do this, but I could never get it off the ground”… then the challenge is set! And I will leave no stone unturned until we get the desired results!
I love to use my passion for sales and my ‘can do’ attitude to help and motivate others in the workplace.
As a motivational leader I’m happy to teach a sales team by picking up the phone or attending a sales call with them, having personally found that we often benefit from being ‘shown how’, rather than just ‘told how’.
This can be a far more effective way of inspiring and boosting personal development, not to mention sales figures, and can create a lightbulb moment that many sales managers and business owners have longed for their sales team to experience.
Lynette has managed the marketing and provided business consultancy services for Alcema since 2021. Over this time, she has taken the company through a rebrand, managed the design and build of a new website, written content and been involved in the branding and launch of a sister company I am personally responsible for called Alcema Construction Limited.
